Note from the Director
I am over the moon whenever I receive the gift of directing and choreographing this gem of a story HAIRSPRAY.
Our heroine Tracy Turnblad reminds us to speak up for what is right in our communities and never leave humanity behind in the journey.
Tracy’s dream was to be on the Corny Collins Show, and she made it happen. Although she did not look like the other Nicest Kids In Town, and was bullied for her ideas and the way she looked, she kept moving forward.
May we always remember to never judge a book by its cover, and take the time to get to know those around us, who may be new to our neighborhoods and places of work.
You never know...they might end up being a life long friend.
