Welcome one and all to Space Girl! We are so excited to share this intergalactic journey with you tonight. Space Girl is a show that ruthlessly employs and pokes fun at a whole range of science fiction tropes and characters. It's a chance for us to take up and explore roles we've always dreamed of playing, the vilest villians, the most noble heroes, and the weirdest aliens! You are in for a nonstop, action-packed evening of ridiculous space puns, cardboard explosions, and a quest to save the universe as we know it!
Our cast and crew have had a ton of fun bringing this production to life both onstage and off. We've been building spaceships and tentacle monsters. We've been rehearsing heroic speeches, and tragic death scenes! This is a true ensemble show, and our rehearsals have been full of joyous, ridiculous laughter as we create and discover this world together. This kind of collaboration and creativity is what I love most about working in the arts. There is something magical that happens when young artists come together with such commitment and energy to build something that makes us all so proud.
We're having a blast! It's our hope that whether you are a science fiction fan or not that you will join us in celebrating the dedication, passion and sheer amount of energy you'll see onstage tonight.
