 DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Whomever said life was a journey certainly knew what they were talking about.  Music education has been my life since 1977.  I have taught everything there is to teach that is music related with the exception of strings.  However, since my oldest daughter played the violin for years, I technically was a "String Mom"!  I have been fortunate enough to have hundreds of children in my programs.  Although they are grown with children of their own, they are still my babies. When I had my own children, they were with me at all of my after-school events.  They had dozens of babysitters in my bands, dance ensembles and choirs. They were so incredibly lucky.

Although I have enjoyed most of the schools I have worked in, I have always wanted to have my own production company.  Now that my girls are grown and creating lives of their own, it's time to create something new. There are too many people to thank and I am fearful that I will forget someone. So, let me say it this way. What you will see and hear tonight is from a combination of people with the biggest hearts you will ever know. My sincere thanks to my family, Graham, Alexandra and Madison, for your help, patience and understanding; to the MacGyver Team and all of their hard work for which they will never receive proper credit, for my friends who are more like my family, to all ofmy Aunts and Uncles who created the best childhood anyone could ever have and my parents who were just plain amazing.  It is said that you are a product of your environment.  I had the best one ever.  And my hope is for this production company is to be an incredible experience for every child that walks through our door.  Thank you all.
