Actors: Actors or Performers will entertain an audience by acting, singing, or dancing. They play characters on stage or screen and work with the direction of the creative team to bring a piece of theatre to life
For Assistant Stage Manager: ASMs will work with the student Stage Managers to support the production by taking notes, running lines with actors, communicating with the technical team, tidying the stage, and much more. ASMs will be required to attend all rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.
For Lights: Lighting technicians will learn how to run the light board in hopes that they will be trained for future years as Lighting Crew Chief. Only one student will be chosen to be the light board operator. Lights will be designed for this by Mrs. Hazelrigg. Lighting crew members will be expected to attend all rehearsals through dress rehearsals and all shows.
For Set: Set crew will be responsible for working on the building process after school if necessary, and for repairing any scenery elements that may get broken during the rehearsals or the shows. Set crew members will be expected to attend all rehearsals through dress rehearsals and all shows. The set crew is also in charge of moving set pieces on, off, and around stage during performances.
For Costumes:
The costume crew will operate under the guidance of our Costume Crew Chief and Mrs. Hazelrigg. Some costume pieces will be built during Tech classes, but many will be built after school. The Costume crew will be required to attend all rehearsals through dress rehearsals and all shows.
For Sound:
Sound crew members will primarily be learning the board, operating technical audio equipment, and working with sound effects and music. Sound crew members will be expected to attend all rehearsals through dress rehearsals and all shows.
For Props:
Props crew is responsible for finding and/or making necessary props for the shows and helping the Props Crew Chiefs get props out every day, set them in their proper place, double-check each other, and then locking the props up at the end of each rehearsal and every show. Props crew members will be expected to attend all rehearsals through dress rehearsals and all shows.
For Publicity and Front of House:
Publicity and FOH crews primarily assist the Publicity Crew Chief with the designing of digital and physical banners, and posters, the creation of the playbill, and advertising. Responsible for maintaining an active social media presence, as well as website updates. Publicity also displays posters in school and in the community. Responsible for decorating the Display Case, FOH boards and creating a 3D display for each show. These crews will be expected to attend all rehearsals but are not required to attend dress rehearsals and performances.
