As the Puffs say, “Hiiiiiiiii!”
Thank you for being with us today as we share this story with you. We hope you’ll laugh loudly and forget the outside world for a little while. You may have entered the theater with a clear allegiance to a particular “house” (even better if you dressed up in your colors!), but I’d like to challenge you to see yourself as a Puff today. Puffs love badgers, the study of plants, and each other. While the other houses - Snakes, Braves, and Smarts - are all well and good, the Puffs have something that is far more special. Much like our Drama Department, when you get a closer look, you’ll see that the Puffs have qualities that no other house has as strongly. The Puffs have friendships, loyalty, commitment to the greater good,... and a love for plants (we do love our FFA friends).
Puffs was originally created by The Peoples Improv Theater in NYC to just run a few nights, but it evolved into an international success. You’ll see as we pay homage to the improvisational roots, and how we have embodied the Puffs world. This particular universe is not to be confused with the world of a “certain boy wizard.” Our story is separate and it lives on its own outside of the Warner Brothers franchise we all love. Therefore, things might look differently than how you originally imagined them, and perhaps the familiar characters we know are not really who we think they are. So, have a little bit of fun with us, poke fun at a few Braves, and let’s all toast our ButterBeverage to the Puffs!
