Thoughts from the Director:
This is a play that has everything in it, and I mean everything!! And it asks a lot of the actors who perform in it!
I am lucky enough to have worked on stage with all of these actors in the past, so I knew what they were capable of, and it has been a delight to work with them on this show as a director. This show calls for brave and outstanding performances in all of its roles, and this entire cast has been up to the task! I am so proud to be directing this group of actors in our production of “The Butterfly of Killybegs”.
I’d also like to thank the other members of the Players who have helped with stage construction, props, lights and sound, with a special thanks to Glenna Hennessy who served as Assistant Director, and Taryn McKenna, who served as Producer.
Finally, I’d like to thank you, our audience, for supporting us as we bring you all of the variety that Irish Theatre has to offer.
I hope you enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed getting it ready for you!
Thanks again,
Tom
