Abraham Fabella (Music Director)

Abraham Fabella is an award-winning pianist, conductor and composer based in Southern California. An alumnus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Abe is the Music Director of Genesis Opera Theatre based in Escondido where he has led performances of Goyescas, The Impressario and Amahl and the Night Visitors. In August, he conducted a reading of Sal Ponti's musical, Magdalene with Genesis Opera Theatre.

Additionally, Abe is the Organist and Choirmaster at All Saints' Episcopal Church, the accompanist of Raincross Master Chorale, and the Artistic and Music Director of Riverside Lyric Opera. He is also the full-time Accompanist at Santa Margarita Catholic High School.

Operas he has conducted include Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Aida, and the concert premiere of the opera, The Last Confession of Don Juan Zumárraga by Dana Howell.

For Abe, Christmas just wouldn’t be as magical without a performance of Amahl. Enjoy the show!

Marchella Versteegh (Stage Manager)

Marchella is excited to be with Genesis Opera Theatre for the first time. She was recently stagemanager for Pacific Lyric Association in their performance of La Traviata. Marchella studied atChaminade University of Honolulu where she minored in theatre, honing in her craft of stagemanagement for plays and musicals including (but not limited to) Sweeney Todd, Into TheWoods, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and First Date. She is thrilled to be involved inthis wonderful production and thankful for this opportunity.

Jeffrey Yarush (Lighting)

Jeffrey grew up in the Valley Center School system, participating in school bands, choirs, and musical theatre productions.  He graduated from CSUSM with a BA in Literature and Writing Studies and aspires to teach Middle School English and Theatre.  He has participated in more than 50 theatre productions, usually as an actor, but occasionally as a director, crew member, or lighting designer.  He would like to thank Cynthia, Doug, Genesis Opera Theatre and STAR Repertory Theatre for giving him the opportunities to further develop his skills in the Theatre.
