    Mark Corrigan (Amahl, Friday/Saturday 7pm)

    Mark Corrigan, an 8th grader in Irvine, California, began singing at the age of seven as a member of the internationally acclaimed All-American Boys Chorus, as well as the St. John Neumann Childrens' Choir.  He also enjoys playing piano and cello.Mark has been recognized for his early vocal development and growth through several achievements in regional and international vocal competitions. He recently won 1st place in Classical Music and 3rd place in Musical Theater in NATS SEP Competition 2023. He also won 2nd place in Southern California Philharmonic Young Artist Competition 2023 - Protégé Vocal.Mark continues to improve his musicianship, artistry, and technique under the tutelage of Kathleen Martin of Voice Classics Inc., plus vocal coaching from William Vendice, Vera Calabria, and John-Henri. Mark performed as Amahl in last year's Amahl & The Night Visitors. He is grateful to Cynthia Leigh and Genesis Opera Theater for this transformative opportunity.

    Carter Meza (Amahl Saturday 2pm)

    Carter is excited to be returning to the role of Amahl. This is his second performance with Genesis Opera Theatre. He has been singing and performing since the age of 5. Carter recently played Little Joe Pepicek in Brundibar this summer with the LA Opera Camp at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. He is grateful for his family, friends, and coaches for their love and support. He would like to thank everyone involved with Amahl and the Night Visitors for making this production possible.

    Cynthia Leigh (The Mother, Friday / Saturday 7pm)

    Soprano Cynthia Leigh brings a special presence to the stage with her committed performances and unique voice, now having fulfilled a dream of founding her own company, Genesis Opera Theatre. Recent directing credits include Amahl and the Night Visitors, Goyescas and The Impresario. Ms. Leigh will again sing the Mother in this production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. Recent performances include Lucy in The Telephone, Madame Goldentrill in The Impresario, Rosario in Goyescas, the title role in Suor Angelica, Nedda in I Pagliacci and the Mother in Genesis Opera Theatre’s inaugural production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. Other recent credits include: Rosario in Goyescas and Giulietta in The Tales of Hoffmann with Independent Opera Company and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte with Redlands Opera Theater, Leonora in Il Trovatore and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera.
