Where do I begin…
I guess the best thing would be to start off with how proud I am of every single one of the students and the parents that have been associated with this production. What in the world was I thinking, taking on one of the biggest all time movies and Broadway productions? Maybe I wasn’t......or maybe I knew that because we have a great group of children and an amazing group of parents that "The Lion King" could happen on McCall's stage.This year has been quite a journey us. When I think back to where it all began and how far we’ve come, I can honestly say that I am truly humbled.
The most amazing thing about this production are the STARS,...your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and etc. Many of them have been coming in three times a week since the fall for acting workshops as well as stage, singing, and dancing rehearsals. They have suffered through countless hours of rehearsals here and practicing at home to bring you the magic you see here. We have students that have never been on stage before and some who are no stranger, but they all work together to make a great ensemble who are going to deliver a great production.
Finally, I want to thank you for coming out and supporting the performing arts in our school. Without you we would have no one to perform for, no one to laugh with and no one to cry with. You are our energy when we are on stage and we thank you for giving us life.
