About the Directors
“I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible team we’ve assembled to lead and direct our students. Their creativity, heart, and dedication have shaped this production into something truly special.”
— Mr. Bradlee Skinner, Director
Every production is a classroom, and every rehearsal is a lesson in collaboration, creativity, and courage. For The Addams Family, Mr. Skinner envisioned more than just another show—he saw an opportunity for growth, not only for his student performers but also for the directors who help bring these stories to life.
Assistant Directors Julie Mortensen and Melissa Skinner have stepped into the spotlight while simultaneously remaining behind the scenes, taking the lead on directing this year’s musical. Their vision, dedication, and artistry are woven into every moment of the performance—from the hauntingly beautiful staging to the heartfelt character work that brings Gomez, Morticia, and the entire Addams clan to life. Along with music directors Sara Park and Juila Eaton, the students sound as incredible as they look.
Mr. Skinner’s belief in mentorship and shared leadership is at the heart of this production. By empowering his assistant directors to take ownership of the show, he models the very values the theatre teaches best: trust, collaboration, and the courage to create. Under Julie and Melissa’s direction, our student actors have grown immensely—not only in skill, but in confidence, professionalism, and pride in their craft.
The result is a production that reflects what happens when teachers lead by example, artists lift one another up, and a community of learners works together to make something truly unforgettable. The Addams Family is more than a story on stage—it’s proof that when we grow together, we shine together.
