    Margarita "Margie" Dancel

    After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from California State University, Long Beach, CA in 1983, Margie fulfilled her promise to return to Guam to teach and train dancers. Margie worked in numerous dance and fitness studios and resorts in San Francisco, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Saipan, Taiwan, and Guam since 1983. Producing credits include Guam productions of A Chorus Line, Les Misérables Student Edition, RENT, Mamma Mia!, Frozen Jr., Moana Jr. & Miss Saigon.

    Jojo Urquico

    Artistic Director

    Jojo Urquico is a Filipino/ German actor, singer, and dancer. He is best known for appearing in MISS SAIGON (in the role of Thuy) in Germany and Switzerland and in the Asian tour. He also covered the role of ‘The Engineer’ in Göteborg Opern’s production of Miss Saigon in Sweden. Other notable roles include Angel in the German production of RENT, Tybalt in ROMEO & JULIET, King in KING and I, and the Young Syrian in Oscar Wilde’s SALOME. Jojo also performed in Alan Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING and was a Soloist at the Oper Stuttgart Production of KÖNIG BLAUBART.

    Tamara Burton

    Head of Wardrobe/Costume Designer

    Tamara Burton considers herself a jack-of-all trades, having multiple experiences in writing, radio, public relations, marketing, special events planning, art and costume design. She has since designed costumes for World Theater Productions since 2017 and has done a tremendous job with all our shows including Les Misérables (2017), Rent (2018), Mamma Mia! (2019), Frozen Jr. (2019 & 2020), Moana Jr. (2022) and now Beauty and the Beast (2023). Her husband Dr. Paul Burton also designed and created Maui’s Fish Hook and worked on the Wolves’ masks for BATB. Both Tami and Paul are an invaluable team members of WTP and we LOVE THEM! Tami also enjoys designing period/ historical and folk costumes, crowns and custom props.
