Much Ado About Nothing - June 17 - June 18, 2021

Guilderland High School

 End Notes

Notes from the Producers:

Aria Grisham

Hi, I'm Aria, and this is my third and last production with GHS Shakespeare Society. I joined this club in ninth grade basically just because my friends were in it and I loved theater, and I ended up meeting possibly one of the best groups of people I've ever met. Many of the members of our club graduated last year, but after last year's production was canceled, I decided that somehow, someway, we would have a show. I can't lie, it was extremely difficult, because people somehow became busier than they were before, but I scoured Guilderland Central Schools until I finally pieced together a full cast of 18. We had to double some roles, and we had to look in some unlikely places (thank you to our fifth-grader, Vanessa, and our eighth-grader, Riley B!), but I am so, so proud of what we have made. So when I say thank you to everyone, from the cast to the staff to the person watching our show right now, it is so incredibly genuine. Without you, I wouldn't have gotten to have one last show.

So, before I cry, thank you to everyone! Thank you so, so much. I hope that one day in many years you watch this show again and think about the times that you had creating this show. I hope that you, the viewer, really enjoy what we've created! And, last of all, I hope that this club lasts for years to come because it truly has been one of the best parts of my high school years.

Rachel Guyer

Hi! I’m Rachel, I’m this year's vice-president of Shakespeare Society and co-producer of Much Ado About Nothing. This is my second and last production, and I can’t begin to express my gratitude. I joined this club in freshman year because a bunch of people I saw as leaders in my life were in it, and I couldn’t be more glad. We’ve had ups and downs this year- granted more than usual- but this group has come together to get through it and produce an amazing show. To everyone: thank you. The cast and crew has made this final year something so special and dear to me, and everyone viewing has given us the chance to show this labor of love to the world. When I look back at my senior year, I know I’ll be able to look on this show with fondness and love. Thank you for believing in us, and thank you for cultivating such a love for theater in not only me, but everyone who was involved in this production.
