Lisa Schmidt
Director
Lisa is honored to have been selected by Sue Ringle and Cheryl Vandiver to be the director of Spotlight Musical Theatre 9 years ago. She works full time at Big Thought as the Director of Professional Learning. It is at Big Thought that she developed her method of crafting original musical plays with non-traditional actors while directing teens on probation. When not working in theater or education, Lisa loves recycling and making stuff with her husband Kelly (science teacher), daughter Mei (16 yr old visual artist) and son Michael (13 yr old partner in crime). Lisa was raised New Orleans, but has lived in Dallas since attending SMU where she received her degree in theater. Lisa worked as an actress at various locals theaters including the Undermain Theater and the Dallas Theater Center.

Jeffery Moffitt
Associate Director
Jeffery Bryant Moffitt is a dynamic arts educator, creative consultant and professional director who believes that every person has a voice. A graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Theatre and a BA in English, Jeffery believes that when people are given the tools to access their creative voice, it drastically increases their potential. He has seen this as the Artistic Director for Creative Solutions, a program that empowers teenagers on probation with the Dallas County Juvenile Department.

Mark Guerra
Associate Director
Originally from South Texas, Mark has been seen onstage and/or directed at Theatre Three, Rover Dramawerks, Risk Theater Initiative, Mesquite Community Theater, Pegasus Theater, Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts, C.A.T.S. and Nouveau 47. Mark has been with Spotlight Musical Theatre for 9 years. He is also the Theatre/Film Director at Lakehill Preparatory School. Inspiring love for the magic of theatre is Mark's passion and calling in life.
