Tracy Schuknecht

Director

Tracy has grown up at Highlands Little Theatre appearing on stage the first time at the age of seven. She directed her first main stage show, "To Kill a Mockingbird", in 2016. She has also directed music for many productions including "Les Miserables", "Grease", "Mary Poppins", and "Mamma Mia", just to name a few. She was seen most recently as Tracy Turnblad in "Hairspray", as Vernadette Sims in "The Dixie Swim Club", and Grandmama Addams in The Addams Family Musical. She is loving every second of creating magic with this amazing cast and crew. She dedicates her work on this show to  her husband Dave, her children Harper and Grant, and the many students she works with who help keep her young!

Nelly has been a volunteer at HLT for 30 years. Nelly serves as chair of the Play Selection Committee and is thrilled to be working on a Mainstage show for the first time with her daughter, Elina. Nelly would like to thank the cast and crew rockstars in Matilda for putting in the work and time to create beautiful music. She would also like to thank her family and friends for their love and support!
