Laura Byron Wade
Director/Set Design
Laura is a Highlands County native and a 32 year veteran of HLT. She holds a BFA in Performing Arts from the University of Louisiana, (Geaux Cajuns!) and attended the MFA Acting Pedagogy program at the University of Alabama
(Roll Tide!). She has been a part of over 150 productions in community, professional and academic theatre. Her greatest passions in theatre are teaching young people and playwriting. Her directing credits include Noises Off, Romeo and Juliet (twice), Charlie Brown, Grease (twice), Little Shop of Horrors, Steel Magnolias, A Streetcar Named Desire, Dancing at Lughnasa (FTC Competition), Little Girl Blou (AACT Competition), as well as numerous Summer Theatre Institute productions. She dedicates all of her work to her husband, Eric, for being “the coolest thing around”.
