Recipe for Affinity
1. Caramelize 1/2 cup of white sugar in a skillet.
2. Add 2 cups of sour cream.
3. Add 2 and 1/2 cups of sugar to caramelized sugar and cook to soft ball stage.
4. Set off stove and add 1 cup of chopped walnuts (or not!), 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
5. Cool.
6. Beat until stiff and spread in a pan.
A wooden spoon works best when you caramelize the sugar. The softball stage means that a bit dipped into cold water holds its shape but can't be picked up.

YOUR TASK, WHEN SIGNALLED BY THE SFX PERFORMER:
1. If you are seated in a chair numbered in 1, 2, or 3, you should cough twice, softly.
2. If you are seated in a chair numbered 4, 5, or 6, you should use your program as a fan.
3. If you are seated in a chair numbered 7, 8, 9, or 0 you should whisper quietly, "Oh, sorry, can we scoot by you?" Wait a moment, then also whisper, "Can I help you with that?"
