    Sarah has been involved with theatre & production in various arenas. Serving as an Executive Producer for the Miss America Org. for years, she won the award for Best Production by The Global Beauty Awards in 2019 for her work. She previously worked at KIRO TV & is an Emmy-nominated journalist who continues to freelance in the Seattle area. Sarah studied Music Performance at Gonzaga, Philosophy at the UW & holds a Master of Divinity from Seattle U. Ms Wahlen currently teaches Theology and Film Studies at HNA. Previously directed shows include Stage Door, Into the Woods, The Election, Sister Act, Decision Height, Emma! A Pop Musical, She Kills MonstersOnce on this Island, Radium Girls, & Mamma Mia.

    Professional New Works Facilitator

    Lily (she/her) is a storyteller and nonprofit consultant based in Seattle with her M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU. She specializes in community-centric storytelling, group facilitation, directing, and devising new works through the lens of equity and social justice. Over the past decade she has directed and supported the creation of more than 30 new works in settings ranging from rural Hawai'i, to the Bronx, to maximum security prisons. She is the Co-Founder of The New Alchemists, an interdisciplinary arts collective; and the Co-Director of the Live Aloha Art Festival, a community-centered art festival on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Her next project is FARM + FABLE: a virtual Dinner and Storytelling project centered around local food and raising support for Black-led urban farms in Seattle.
