Our Town - April 16 - April 19, 2015

Jackson Academy

 From the Administration

Performing and fine arts are important parts of our students’ independent school education, and theatre presentations are a vital part of a strong performing arts program. It is with this tradition in mind that we thank our outstanding instructors in our fine arts department and applaud all of our students involved in the production of Our Town.

Thank you for your attendance and your support of our students. Through a well-rounded program of student activities, fine arts, personal development, and core curriculum, we can be proud that our school is offering a very balanced liberal arts education. Your support is indicative of the importance of fine arts in our school and helps broaden each student’s overall educational experience.

"We all know that something is eternal. And it ain't houses and it ain't names, and it ain't earth, and it ain't even the stars...everybody knows in their bones that something is eternal, and that something has to do with human beings."

                                                                        - Stage Manager, Act III

The performing arts at Jackson Academy are a valued and integral part of our school.  Thanks to our talented, dedicated faculty and first-class facilities, our thriving performing arts programs provide students wonderful opportunities to develop and hone their talents and showcase their gifts.

Thank you for supporting Jackson Academy’s presentation of Our Town.  The cast and crew have been hard at work preparing this outstanding show.  We celebrate the talent, commitment, and character of our students who have worked so diligently.  We are most appreciative of the leadership of Roxie Hood and the enthusiastic dedication and support of our parents.  We also acknowledge the technical expertise and support of Andy Prince.  The passion and tireless efforts of all involved provide inspiration to us.  We are very proud of their accomplishments.
