  • Prof. Kimberly Beasley, Director head shot

    Prof. Kimberly Beasley, Director

    Beasley has taught at Jacksonville University since 2008. She is currently Professor of Voice and Chair of the Department of Music. Production credits include Little Women, the Musical, which won awards for Best Actor and Best Scenic Design from Broadway World; the Jacksonville premiere of Street Scene, an American Opera, which was awarded the University Performance grant in 2013 by the Kurt Weill Foundation.  Other productions include Aida, the Musical, Light in the Piazza, Les Misérables, Hot Mikado, Gianni Schicchi, A...My Name is Alice, A…My Name Will Always be Alice, A Grand Night for Singing, and Children of Eden.  Her 2023 production of Nine, the Musical and her 2018 production of Into the Woods at Jacksonville University received the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region IV award for Excellence in Directing.   Thank you for coming to the show - please enjoy!

    Adjunct Professor, Dina Barone, Contralto is a professional musician, performer & educator who has vast experience in Concert, Opera and Music Theatre. As an adjunct professor at both University of North Florida and Jacksonville University, she has had the honor to receive UNF’s 2021 Adjunct Professor of the Year Award & JU’s 2024 Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award. At JU she is the founder and creator of The RiverTones, a contemporary vocal ensemble who recently were invited to Disney World to perform at Disney Springs. She is thrilled to be making her JU Music Director debut for the Spring musical where she is fortunate to collaborate with the talented students and faculty.

    Stage Manager / Light Board Operator

    Hailee is a Sophomore Technical Theater Major and is super excited to be Stage Managing another show here at JU! You may know her from Stage Managing last year’s Student Works ‘Trail to Oregon’ and this year’s ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. Hailee can’t wait for the coming years at JU to continue her learning and become the best techie she can be! She also wants to thank you for coming to the show and she hopes you enjoy!
