Who's Who in the Cast

Tristan James Stewart is thrilled and honored to be playing Shrek, in this year’s summer production. This is Tristan's first time back on the stage since he graduated from college, where he earned his BFA in musical theater from the American Musical and dramatic Academy. His past credits include Jud Fry (Oklahoma) and Nathan Detroit (Guys and Dolls). Tristan would like to thank Journey for this wonderful opportunity, and for welcoming him into the Journey family, as well as this amazing cast for making his time in the swamp so special.

Katie Sheron, after appearing as Gretl in The Sound of Music at the age of 6, a lifetime love of performing was born for Katie.  She continued to sing and act throughout her childhood, and majored in vocal performance at the University of Washington. When she isn’t busy running her three kids around, she can be found leading worship at New Heights church in Vancouver.  She is thankful for this opportunity and is learning to embrace both the princess and the ogre sides of life.

Raphael Likes is a 2007 Hillsboro High School in graduate. This is his third show with Journey Theater.   He was most recently seen in the Nutcracker. Raphael loves to dance and sing, he simply can’t get enough of it. When He isn’t on stage he is singing and dancing anywhere he can. He hopes to have a career in theatre.  He would love to thank you so much for coming to the show; you have a great time in store for you. Raphael feels honored to be in this cast, and is excited to share this story.

Beth Andre' is thrilled to be back on stage from a long theater hiatus, with her arm only slightly twisted.. She performed so much as an actor, singer and on various stringed instruments that she decided to obtain a degree in music. For a time she taught choir and orchestra in the schools, but left to work as a worship leader in her church. She and her husband Dale (Papa Bear) met while doing musical theater in Portland. (Thanks, Tapestry!) Her role as a mom to Camille and Tristan has only served to increase the volume and intensity of her voice, and they can tell you that for her, being Dragon is only natural.

Paul Warner is honored to make his Journey debut with this amazing cast and crew. Paul thanks the Artistic Team for allowing him to play such a towering colossus of moxie, his family and friends for their support, and his daughter Emily for inspiring him to get on stage. When he’s not ordering fairy tale creatures out of Duloc, Paul is a teacher-librarian who enjoys reading, writing, videography, and all things sci-fi/fantasy.

Josh Huppert is ecstatic to be playing everyone's favorite wooden boy this summer in Journey's production of Shrek the Musical!  A Chicago native, Josh recently moved to Portland to begin his Doctorate degree in Audiology this fall at Pacific University. Prior to moving to Oregon, Josh has performed professionally with several theatres in the Chicagoland area including: Fireside Theatre, Mason Street Warehouse, Drury Lane Oak Brook, Marriott Theatre, Ordway Performing Arts Center, and Fox Valley Repertoire Theatre.

Kiana Joy Ryan has been involved with Journey Theater for the past 12 years. She is forever thankful for the molding and influence that it has had on her character. Kiana just got back from an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries where she partnered with churches and orphanages to love the lost and broken, and to encourage believers. She is excited to be back home and to have dive into Shrek the Musical. Let your freak flag fly!
