Friends, family, and theatre lovers

Thank you for supporting KF’s first-ever virtual production of Almost Maine. The scene “Getting it back” tells the story of the way love is affected by the people around you. The scene is a testament that love protrudes even through disagreement and confusion. Directing this scene given the circumstances has been a challenge that has helped me grow. I want to thank Mr.Albaran, Mr. Baker, and Mrs. Segura for mentoring us through student directing this production along with learning the virtual technical intricacies in order to make it happen. Thank you to my actors for being so flexible and awesome, these underclassmen are so talented. It is amazing how art always finds a way, even if through an entire pandemic. I hope you enjoy the show from the comfort of your home with possibly some homemade popcorn at hand! - Soledad Favela

Almost Maine is a very special show that truly portrays the complexities of love and how it’s different for everyone. Seeing the thing shows love blooming in places you would never expect. One of the great things about this play and what the playwright intended was that this show was meant for everyone in all different shapes and sizes. Seeing the thing is no exception when it comes to two friends opening and letting something scary and frightening happen but ultimately blossoms into something beautiful. Both characters Dave and Rhonda are taking a step into uncharted territory for their friendship and it’s up to them to decide if taking that next step is worth it. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Angle and Dulce to create the vision they made. Every rehearsal I had with them was a treat and it showed by how great they handled the material and made Dave and Rhonda their own. A director’s vision is nothing without the hard-working actors who gave it they're all. I am extremely grateful for my cast and what they have taught me. I hope you enjoy the show. - Alain Cornado

“This hurt” is a scene about the perception of love. When I thought of it like that, I could not help but choose it. There are also several comedic moments, and I believe that reflects a lot of my personality. - Trey Worrell

Taking time to acknowledge the great work my actors did during the process of bringing this show to life with my vision intact. This scene is taking you through the minds of Shelly and Denna. Shelly falls in love with Denna But Denna does not feel the same way about her. It a fun little story about love and love loss my actresses have been working hard and I am glad that they can show you what they have been
working on hope you love the performance. - Shawn Holley
