It has been amazing to watch Eian, Trey, and Sergio lead and direct for this show. They have all pushed themselves in new ways to direct these beautiful scenes for you. This show is near and dear to my heart and I have had the absolute pleasure to be a helping hand for these directors. Each has an individual style and way of directing that I believe depicts them as young artists. Watching and working with them has been a delight.

Juniors,
I am extremely proud of the habits, skills, and confidence, you all have gained this year. Each of you have taken your prior knowledge and experiences in theatre and shared them with each of your scene partners and directors throughout this process, as you work towards a common goal. The true definition of an Ensemble and Family. Congratulations on such a great production!

Mentor and Instructor for the Advanced Theatre III Course
I teach the senior students in our Varsity production acting class. I had been trying to find a way to have student-directed shows into our season and we chose this year to have all of the senior students in our class direct one of the vignette scenes in the show Almost, Maine, as a way to introduce the idea to be a yearly event. Stepping into the other side of the lights is a huge learning experience for our actors in how the process of putting up a show is seen from the director’s perspective. My fellow theatre teachers and I were mentors for the entire class as we helped them take a turn in the director’s chair. I am proud of the work the senior class has accomplished for this very challenging project. We hope you enjoy the first student-directed show at Klein Forest High School.
