Matt Glickstein

Executive Director/Music Director

Matt Glickstein is the founder of the Lana'i Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA). Matt has served as music director for 101 Dalmatians KIDS (2014), Annie Jr.(2014), Getting to Know...The Sound of Music (2015), Shrek the Musical Jr. (2016), Lion King Jr. (2017), Cinderella KIDS (2017), and Aladdin Jr. (2018).
Jamie Hale

Choreographer

After completing her degree at SUNY Brockport, Jamie traveled as a professional dancer in and out of the United States with different dance companies. She joined us on Lana'i as a special education teacher and enjoys sharing her passion for dance and education with our students. Credits include Lion King Jr. (2017) and Aladdin Jr. (2018).
Simon Seisho Tajiri

Writer, Director

Simon Seisho Tajiri is a Hawai'i born Filipino Japanese poet and graduate of Lana'i High & Elementary School. He currently works as a gardener, story-teller, and Hawaiian language teacher on Lana'i and carries the kuleana of using his art to build spaces for and to inspire acts of aloha 'aina.
Kindal Langager

Kindal was born and raised in San Diego, California. She studied Psychology at Mira Costa College, and has worked with kids since she was 14 years old. She's passionate about French langauge and culture, culinary arts, and music.
Amanda deJetley

Costumes

Amanda deJetley was raised on Lana’i, homeschools her two daughters, and is a supervisor at the Lana’i Cat Sanctuary. She has been a LAPA mom for 6 years and began helping with costume makeup 5 years ago, painting little black noses on a bunch of Dalmatian puppies!
