A Christmas Carol - November 21 - November 24, 2019

Lemon Bay High School

 End Notes

Sarah Ballard-Richardson, Theatre Teacher & Producer

Ms. Ballard-Richardson is an alumni of Lemon Bay High School and a proud member of troup 0257.  You may recognize her as one of the teen angels from Grease last Spring.  Her favorite role to play was Anita in LBHS’ 1996 production of West Side Story.  She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, and is ecstatic to be back at “the Bay!”  Sarah has over 10 years of classroom experience from preK to 12th grade and has been named a “highly effective teacher” by the state of Florida for the last three years.  She is married to Derek and has four children.  Taylor is a recent grad from LBHS, and Trace, Toby and Tempest are all gracing the stage in tonight’s show.  Ms. B hopes you enjoy “A Christmas Carol” as much as she enjoyed producing it!

Ayla Albright – Director

Ayla graduated from the University of Connecticut this year with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies and a concentration in Directing. She has spent most of her theatre career working with children in theatre, such as volunteering at C.A.S.T. Children’s theatre in Manchester, Connecticut while she was in high school, and working at Camp Wahnee as their Theatre Head. She has directed several shows, such as Hairspray, The Little Mermaid Jr., and School House Rock.  Being able to work with the students at Lemon Bay has been more fun than she could have imagined, and the younger children too! All of the kids involved are talented and ambitious, which is what makes this play the show it is! She hopes you all enjoy the show and are as proud as she is of the time and work they have put into it!

Jennifer Davis-Technical Director

Ms. Davis is so excited to be back where her love of theatre began many years ago.  Known as J-Ro to the theatre students, she hopes to see the department succeed.  It is her utmost desire that the students learn all aspects of theatre.  Ms. Davis has many years of theatre experience both onstage and backstage.  She is overjoyed to be back at LBHS teaching the next generation of theatre students, because "there's no place like home."
