    Susan Metzger

    as Corrie ten Boom

Susan Metzger (Corrie ten Boom) Susan is humbled and elated to portray Corrie Ten Boom, a hero of her faith since childhood.  Susan has been blessed to have performed in musicals all over the metroplex, from Dolly in “Hello Dolly” with Granbury Theatre Company, to Patsy in “Always, Patsy Cline” at Plaza Theatre in Cleburne, to the Mother Abbess in “Sound of Music”  at Artisan Theater in Hurst, to Tanya in “Mamma Mia” at Garland Summer Musicals.  Next role for Susan???  Mrs. Noah (Eliza) on “The Ark” at Plaza Theatre in Cleburne, just 4 weeks from now!  Thank you to my friend Laura, our stage manager, for posting the audition notice for this show, and to our director Tawnya for casting me to act/minister thru this show, alongside this fabulous cast!  Thanks also to my precious family…Rob, and my kids and kid-in-law…Madeline, Susannah and Nick for unending love and support!

  • Rebekah Hendrick head shot

    Rebekah Hendrick

    as Betsie ten Boom

Rebekah Hendrick (Betsie ten Boom) Rebekah is thrilled to join in her third performance with LYCT, but she is no stranger to the stage. She has performed with Encore Productions and Family Music Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Penny Sycamore in You Can't Take It With You, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical and Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music. When she isn't performing onstage, she enjoys working behind the scenes creating costumes for shows like Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ragtime and Jane Eyre. Rebekah loves reading, cooking, playing with her nieces and nephews (she has 25 of them!) and just being at home.

Steve Nance Sr. (Caspar ten Boom) Steve makes his fifth appearance in a Love Your City Theater production, and his second time in The Hiding Place (once with Cornerstone Theatre).  Steve is thankful to Pastors Jim and Becky Hennesy for recognizing the value of the performing arts to present truth in a way that brings Life to those who might otherwise not receive it.
