Melanie Butcher
Musical Director
Melanie Butcher is in her thirteenth year as the director of choirs at MJHS and MHS. Mrs. Butcher received a B.A. degree in music education and a M.A. degree in choral conducting from Western Illinois University. She has participated in several musical productions as a cast member and musical director. Mrs. Butcher was the musical director for the MHS productions of Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, The Music Man, South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof. Mrs. Butcher resides in Macomb with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Nick (13 years old) and Andy (10 years old). She would like to congratulate the cast and crew of Mary Poppins on a job well done! Spit Spot!

Molly Selders
Director
Ms. Selders graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, MO in 1999 with a degree in English and Anthropology and from the University of Virginia with her Master of Arts in Teaching English in 2001. She has taught English in Charlottesville, Virginia and Kansas City, Missouri before joining the staff at MHS in 2008. Ms. Selders made her play-directing debut with the MHS fall production of Twelve Angry Jurors. Joining the theater program has been a wonderful experience, and she's grateful for all the hard work everyone has dedicated to this production.

Chelsey Friberg
Choreographer
Chelsey Friberg has been involved with musicals and theater for 14 years. In her daily life she is a cosmetologist and a teacher at Catch A Star Learning Center. She has performed in over 15 theater productions and has had a part in choreography in over 8. Chelsey moved from Colorado to Macomb in August 2016 with her wonderful husband, Torren, who is pursuing a Masters in Choral Conducting at WIU. She has had the wonderful opportunity to be involved with the MHS Theater from the moment she moved here, including being the Assistant Director for A Christmas Carol and The Match Maker. The kids at MHS have been wonderful and have well exceeded my expectations in every dance, and I am proud of everything they have accomplished! Break a leg
