Ramona Quimby - February 11 - February 19, 2017

Marshalltown Community Theatre

 End Notes

A Note from the Director:

Why did I want to direct "Ramona Quimby"?  Well, I just get a big kick out of her! She tries her best to fix the problems that face her family and, if her solutions fail, Ramona keeps on trying.

I also admire the author, Beverly Clearly. She is celebrating her 100th birthday this year!  When asked where she finds her ideas she replied, "From my own experience and from the world around me."  When you watch the play I'm sure you will see the wisdom of that statement.

I feel the Community Theatre can be an excellent avenue for our young people to enjoy live theater. We have a great cast of very talented and hard working children. I want to especially thank their parents for letting us borrow their kids. All of the parents can be very proud of their children.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank the all-volunteer production crew. THANK YOU!! And Karen and Frank Roessler, it was truly a team effort. Your expertise and commitment have been invaluable.

Now sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
