     SETTING

     The Present

     CHARACTERS

LOU:  A young woman.  Smart and clever.  Imposing, but still very feminine:

happy, yet lonesome.  Easily influenced by people close to her.

CONFIDANT/CONFIDENT: Same age as LOU.  Clever and cunning sarcastic,

hilarious, people pleaser.  Comments cut deep. Suspicious of anyone around

LOU. Sometimes he is LOU's confidant and, at other times, he is supremely

    confident and arrogant.

KIN:  LOU'S sister.  Caring and kind.  Sees the best in everyone.  Always

wants the best for everyone.  Easily pushed around or repressed.

     DIRECTOR'S NOTE TO AUDIENCE

During the course of the play, each character plays other characters -

mostly "Ex" boyfriends.  Pay attention!  Thanks so much! Lisa
