Notes from the Director
I love the story of Mary Poppins because the story at its core is a moral I wish more works of Art could tell. Not only does it show us how being "Practically Perfect" can benefit a community of people, but also how someone can change for the better at any moment. It could take them until they make a mistake at the peak of their career, or when they are still enjoying kite flying. Here at McLaughlin, I have been so fortunate to witness the natural growth of a ensambe change as the characters in Mary Poppins do. I have been so privilaged to watch our performers make smart acting choices instead of carrying out orders. I have observed our staff work tirelessly to create and solve the magic of our show. And maybe most importantly, a group of individuals become a community to create something truely magical for you tonight. I hope this show makes you laugh, think, and remember the importance of flying kites.
Warmly,
Natalie Quilici, Director
