About Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was an English writer who has written some of the world’s most famous books. His most popuar works include Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, and of course A Christmas Carol. In all, Dickens wrote 15 novels, many short stories, articles, essays, and novellas. Born in 1812, he is generally considered the greatest British novelist of the Victorian Age. He enjoyed a wider popularity during his lifetime than had any previous author. The range, compassion, and intelligence of his understanding of British society and its shortcomings enriched his novels and made him both one of the great forces in 19th-century literature as well as the guiding conscience of his age.

Alan Menken is an American composer who is well-known for writing the scores and music for many Disney animated movies. He has composed the music for Beauty and The Beast, Pocahontas, Hercules, The Little Mermaid, and many others. He has also won several awards such as seven Academy Award for Best Music, five Grammy Awards for Best Song, as well as a Tony Award and multiple Golden Globe awards.
