 A Note From The Director

To Our Distinguished Patrons:

Welcome to our most requested ATORT Production -  Mamma Mia! This is a show that’s sure to take you on an unforgettable ride filled with laughter, love, and a soundtrack that will have you dancing in your seat. We are thrilled to be presenting this iconic musical and know you’re in for a treat!

“Mamma Mia!” is more than just a celebration of ABBA’s timeless music. It’s a story of family, friendship, and finding joy in the unexpected. It follows Sophie, a young woman on a journey to uncover the truth about her father. Along the way, we explore the power of relationships, the bonds that unite us, and the joys and struggles of mother-daughter dynamics. All of this is set against the backdrop of a beautiful Greek island and wrapped in the infectious energy of ABBA’s music.

This production has been a huge labor of love for everyone involved. From the talented cast who have brought their passion and energy to the stage, to our crew, whose hard work behind the scenes has made this all possible, every moment has been created with excitement - from hand stitched Dynamo costumes to original choreography, sets, hair and make-up, and props. Our students have worked tirelessly, and it’s their dedication that brings this joyful musical to life.

The experience of theatre is about connection, and we are so grateful to share this show with all of you. We hope that, as you watch these characters discover their own paths to love and understanding, you are reminded of the timelessness of family, of laughter, and of the joy of music.

Mamma Mia! is a story for all ages, and we’re so glad to have you here! We have many shows and concerts throughout our year and your attendance matters more that we can ever  properly voice. We sincerly hope you come back for future shows and "take a chance" if it's a title you don't know as well as this one. We know you'll leave today with a song in your heart, a smile on your face, and a sense of joy that lasts long after the curtain falls.

Enjoy the show!
