    Director/Music Director/Pit Conductor

    James is just finishing his 18th year teaching choir and theatre here at Mingus Union High School. He has been Northern AZ Theatre teacher of the year two times - 2016 and 2023, as well as Yavapai County Runner-up Teacher of the year. He is so greatful of his team of friends and colleagues that help him put together these shows and hopes you always come see what's next!

    Assistant Director/Choreographer/Sound Designer

    A math teacher by trade, Mr. Renard is lucky enough to spend his spare time teaching dance with his wife Carla. Mamma Mia! marks 12 years that he has been the male dance coach and 5th as assistant director. He continues to count himself incredibly blessed both that his wife has put up with his bad jokes for the past 26 years and to work in this incredible program.

    This is Katie's first year as Technical Director and Stagecraft Teacher here at Mingus. She is incredibly excited to be a part of this production. She is thankful for the opportunity to be part of this program. She wants to thank her family for their continued love and support.

    Caleb has joined our Stagecraft crew for his 3rd ATORT production, bringing over 30 years of building experience to the department.  With a background in music and business owneship, he is innovative and creative and loves to inspire creativity in others.

    Costume Designer

    Beth Bates-Kessel is a recent MUHS graduate who is returning to assist with costume design for Mamma Mia! She was a part of ATORT for all four years of high school, both designing and acting. She is excited for you to see this production of Mamma Mia!
