A Message From the Stage Crew Vice President
Though Stage Crew is separate from the Drama Club, we work together to create something bigger for the community that surrounds us. Stage Crew isn’t just a couple of kids running around backstage or sitting behind a board. It didn’t matter whether they specialized in a skill or not, each member still brought a light to this production and its making.
Stage Crew has always been a big part of my life since the sixth grade. I am not a person that enjoys the spotlight, but I sure did find an alternative behind the soundboard LEDs. When I found out that this show was tech-heavy, I was excited and also anxious because I had never done a play before. But through this show, I was able to appreciate all of the hard work done by the people around me. I was given the opportunity to watch my fellow peer, Andrew Laudor, and his passion for lighting deepen. I am also thrilled to see Tyler Backer share his own composed "music" with the audience. These boys and I have worked alongside each other for the past three years and after the countless jokes and teasing, I couldn’t be more lucky to have them working with me.
Now as you put this playbill down and hear my fire drill announcement, I just want to say some last few words. I want to thank all the advisors I was given the opportunity to work with. These advisors include Miles Austin, Trevor Campbell, Jeff Christen, Mr. Bosch, and Mrs. Mireski. And a huge shout out to the crew who always gives it their all and to the cast members who are always supportive, no matter what.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Nguyen
