Chris Turner
Director
Chris closes out his fifth year as MPHS Drama Director with RENT: School Edition. As Drama Director, Chris directs the Fall Play and Spring Musical and helped usher in the One-Act Play Festival. Outside of MPHS, he has directed locally at WDL and CSP. Acting credits include stage performances in DE, PA, NYC and LA. Film includes: Letters from Iwo Jima, By My Side Tonight¸ and It’s Not Just You, Tommy Chu. Chris studied acting with James Hong and improv with The Groundlings Los Angeles. He’d like to thank his family and friends for their support, especially his wife, Kim who has graciously dealt with the long nights away, and their daughter Lexi, a two-year old with a love for Disney and theater. Special thanks to the numerous parent volunteers, MPHS staff, and the talented students that give up their evenings to be part of MPHS Drama.
Matt Coyle
Production Manager, Technical Director, Lighting/Sound Design
Matt Coyle is proud to be back at MPHS for his 3rd year as production manager/technical director/resident sound & lighting design. He is a Criminal Justice Major and Theatre Production Minor at the University of Delaware. A 2012 graduate of MPHS, he enjoys being on the artistic staff maybe a little more than on stage. Sound and/or lighting design credits include: Les Miserables, Godspell, 12 Angry Jurors, The Crucible Project, Razia's Shadow, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Into the Woods, The Life, Avenue Q, 13: The Musical, Parade, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Big: The Musical. Matt works with the UD Resident Ensemble Players and is excited to be the Asst. Sound Designer for All in the Timing, opening in April. Matt sends thanks to the student crew for their hard work in making sure that the show is a success (all technical items in this show are run by students!) and to his family and friends for their support of all that he does.
