Mary Poppins Jr. - March 08 - March 09, 2024

North Gwinnett Middle School

 End Notes

Mary Poppins!

Who doesn’t know and love this fantastic show?! What you might not realize is how challenging a production even the junior version is. With magic tricks, large ensemble numbers, and multiple (quick) set changes, I knew this was a huge undertaking for my first production at North Gwinnett Middle School… and I am so happy that I decided to go for it!!

Of our 39 cast members, a solid third of them are participating in theater for the first time!!! My teacher heart could not be more proud of them ALL for their hard work and commitment to this several month-long process. They’ve spent hours rehearsing, learning, growing, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

This show could not have been possible without the help of SO many people. At the very top of that list is Ms. Kim Eason, our wonderful musical director and my co-pilot this first year! “Thank you” doesn’t seem to cut it. I am so grateful for your guidance and friendship this first year. You will be very missed next year!!

To Ms. Gilbert, for the opportunity to share my love of the arts with this amazing community!

To the incredible parents, for all your support and making this production a great success.

To my family, for putting up with my crazy and for being my rock.

Ryder and Johanna, you are my sunshine.

To my JTF kids, way to bring home that “excellence in dance” award and for being the BEST representation of what NGMS is all about.

To my 8th graders, for embracing and trusting me this year. Your future is SO bright, and I can not wait to see what your future holds!!!

To my entire cast and crew, I love you each in your own supercalifragilisticexpialidocious way!!

Never stop believing that “Anything can happen if you let it!”

I dedicate this show in loving memory of my maternal grandmother, Sylvia Wray Welsh. My squiggle, and my newest angel, who gave me my first voice lesson and gifted me with her love of ALL the arts. This one's for you, Grandmommy.

~xoxo~
