
Mr. Robert LeMaire (Director) has directed OCHSDG productions of “The Addams Family”: A New Musical, “Stage Door”, “Spamalot”, “Footloose: The Musical” and “Arsenic and Old Lace”. He has been an assistant director for Robin Hood, Legally Blonde: The Musical, A Christmas Carol, The Man Who Came to Dinner and Bye-Bye Birdie. He was assistant director for the professional equity production of Arsenic and Old Lace at the East Lynne Theater Company in Cape May. Other professional work at ELTC includes: Arsenic and Old Lace (Teddy Brewster,) Ah! Wilderness, Dracula, The Late Christopher Bean, To the Ladies, You and I, The Dictator (2001 & 2010), Sherlock Holmes, Three Miraculous Soldiers, Anna Christie and The Ransom of Red Chief. He’s worked sound effects and performed in ELTC’s radio-style Sherlock Holmes Adventures. He is the director of ELTC’s Student workshop Robin Hood (2017) and Story Time Theater (2018). Robert was among the Professional Theater Company educators recognized by the NJ Theater Alliance for dedication to and impact on arts education. He is excited to work on The Wizard of Oz for OCHSDG this spring. He will be reprising his role as Teddy Brewster this summer at ELTC.
Mrs. Ellen Byrne (Assistant Director, Costumes) is delighted to join the OCHSDG production team. An attorney since 1987, Ellen succumbed to the lure of the theater and her love of working with high school students. Her costumes have appeared in Grease, The Addams Family, Stage Door, Bye Bye Birdie, Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Beauty & the Beast Jr., Little Mermaid Jr., The Music Man, Into the Woods Jr., A Christmas Carol, Pippin, and Dames at Sea, working with Mt. St. Joseph Academy, OCHSDG, OCIS, OCTC, and Dickinson College. Thank you for supporting the performing arts in schools, where science, math, art, literature, history, and music come alive! Mr. Paul Matusz (Scenic Designer; Stage Crew Manager) teaches Studio Art at OCHS and has been involved in OCHSDG productions for the past 13 years. Mr. Matusz would like to thank Mr. LeMaire for the opportunity to work on this production, Mrs. Byrne for making him laugh, and all the students and parents who made this show possible. Finally, Mr. Matusz would like to thank his wife Jacqueline, their daughter Viviana Blue, and his son Dylan for being perfect.
Mr. Steve Trauger (Advisor, Tech Crew) is a graduate of the School of Film and Digital Media at the Savannah College of Art & Design. He is currently the TV/AV facility engineer for Ocean City Schools. Mr. Trauger would like to take this opportunity to thank the cast/crew for their hard work and dedication. His favorite part of the show is witnessing everyone’s growth as they learn and execute the various skills/acting techniques that enhance the performance.
