Nick Wilson (Sound Designer) is a singer/songwriter musician born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He developed a love for music early in his childhood, admiring artists such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, and George Benson. Nick wrote his first song at age 14 and began singing that same year. A self-taught musician, he plays the piano/keyboards, guitar, drums, and the harmonica and is proficient at multitrack recording. Nick studied vocal jazz music at Long Island University—Brooklyn campus. He appeared on TV shows such as Showtime at the Apollo and David Foster's Star Tomorrow, also performing at music venues such as The Groove and the Soul Cafe. Nick's credits as a composer and sound designer include A Role Once Played, Nat Turner: The Trial, and Cosmic Warrior. His music can be best described as a blend of jazz fusion, funk-pop, and R&B.
Tuquan Smith (Technical Director), a native of Brooklyn, NY, is excited to be joining Out of the Box for the third season. As the head scenic carpenter for J2 Spotlight on Theatre Row, he has most recently built A Class Act; A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine; and The Baker’s Wife. His resume also includes The Little Princess, All My Sons, Harvey, On the 20th Century, You Can't Take It with You, Cleopatra—The Experience, Comfort Women, and more. Tuquan studied at and graduated from York College/CUNY in 2017, graduating with a bachelor’s in Speech Communications and Theatre Performance.
Erica Jeudy (Stage Manager) is a student at York College majoring in Theater Arts with a minor in Creative Writing. She has worked most recently on a production of Guys and Dolls at York College Theater directed by Miya Bass. This is her first time working with Out of the Box Theatre, and she hopes it will not be the last.
