Who’s Who in the Cast
Nancy Abode, Maude/ First Reporter, is very excited to be in this year’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. Nancy hasn’t been in the School Musical since she was in Vernon. She had so much fun playing Mufasa in The Lion King Jr. and the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland Jr. that she decided to come back this year! Nancy also loves to be on the field playing field hockey with her team! Nancy would like to thank everyone who convinced her to come back and everyone involved in this year’s production!!
Franchesca Alejo, Ursula Merkle, is thrilled to be a part of this year's production of Bye Bye Birdie. Franchesca was previously in Songs For a New World, and last year's production of Pippin as Leading Player. She also sings as an alto in Chamber Singers, plays french horn in the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band, and is the current president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She hopes you enjoy the show!
James Angelidakis, Teen Boy, is in 7th grade and is involved in the Middle-Level Choir. He plays Football, Basketball, and Baseball. This is his first musical show and he looks forward to a great show weekend!
Mosie Bradley, Randolph MacAfee, is excited to be in Oyster Bay High School’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. In previous years, they have been in Shrek Jr., Annie Jr., Pippin, and more. They play softball at OBHS and sing alto in Chamber Singers. Mosie can’t wait to perform this year, and wants to thank Ms. Chip, Mr. Fludd, Ms. Kemp, Mr. Sisia, Stage Crew, and the rest of the cast for making this show amazing.
Ryan Capone, Mayor and Ed Sullivan, is excited for this year's musical production. Ryan has been in the musical before for Pippin last year and played the role of King Charlemagne. He is also a member of the Chamber Singers, President of SADD, and was crowned a Homecoming King in September. Ryan wants to give this musical his all so he can go off into the world with a performance he will not forget. He also hopes the audience will enjoy the musical.
Jaiya Chetram, Albert Peterson, is an actor, musician, writer, and activist in and outside of school. Aside from gracing Broadway Stages and appearing in prime-time TV and film, Jaiya is a Creative Advisory Board Member for Idina Menzel’s A BroaderWay Foundation and an extremely involved member of the school community. Jaiya would like to take this moment to give thanks to the incomparable educators (who have become dear friends) as well as the faithful home of the stage for being there 24/7. The love for you all is big as he leaves Oyster Bay High School.
Grace Curry, Mrs. Peterson, is very excited to be a part of this year's musical Bye Bye Birdie. Grace has performed in previous Oyster Bay High School shows including, Pippin, Songs for a New World, Into the Woods, and Legally Blonde. Grace sings Tenor in the high school Chamber Singers and is a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society. Grace is very excited for everyone to see the amazing show the cast and crew have put together!
Justin De los Santos, Teen Boy, has been a soccer player for 3 years and was part of the 8th grade basketball team.
