Who’s Who in the Cast
Omar Figueroa, Mr. Harry McAfee, is very excited to be in this year's production of Bye Bye Birdie! This is Omar's 10th production! You may recognize Omar from past productions like Shrek the Musical Jr. as Shrek, Into the Woods as Mysterious Man, and most recently, Pippin, as Lewis. Omar is a Sophomore and sings bass in Chamber Singers. In the Symphonic Band, he plays the Trumpet. Omar thanks all of you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!!
Scarlett Fredrickson, Nancy/ Second Reporter, is very excited for this year's show Bye Bye Bridie! In previous years, she has been in Songs for a New World, Pipin, and more. She is also an alto in Chamber Singers and plays clarinet in the symphonic band. Scarlett has so much fun spending time with her cast. She’d like to thank the pit,cast and stage crew for making such a wonderful production!!
Emma Hampton, Margie Ann, couldn’t be more excited for this years production of Bye Bye Birdie. She has been in many plays before, including Pippin, Alice in Wonderland Jr., Shrek Jr., Vernon's Magical Musical Revue, and the Middle School Revues. Emma wants to thank the whole cast and crew, along with the directors, for making this come together. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Lila Kavanagh, Featured Conrad Fan, is very excited to perform in this year's production of Bye Bye Birdie. She is no stranger to the stage, having appeared earlier in the middle school production, Back To School, and in all the musical productions during her time at Vernon. When Lila is not on stage, she enjoys playing lacrosse and tennis and the french horn and piano. Lila would like to thank everyone involved in this year's production and wishes everyone a great performance!
Ian Lubin, Hugo Peabody, cannot wait for an opportunity in, Bye Bye Birdie and is excited to re-open his love for the spotlight. In 7th grade he had an amazing time performing in the show Time Warp and couldn’t wait to far surpass his past performance. While being loud and goofy, Ian truly knows how to play his parts, and takes his craft seriously. He maintains his consistent talent all while still having fun. Ian would like to give special thanks to all the people who aren't afraid of hard work. Also, Ian says thank you to all that come!
Hazel Maldonado, Mrs. Merkle, is a senior at Oyster Bay High School and is thrilled to be in this year’s production of Bye Bye Birdie! She hopes you enjoy the show!
Brooklyn Matt, Kim MacAfee, is beyond thrilled to be part of Bye Bye Birdie! In recent years, Brooklyn has been doing musicals in Oyster Bay - East Norwich Schools since 6th grade such as Alice in Wonderland Jr., Legally Blonde, Into the Woods, Songs for a New World, and Pippin! Alongside this, Brooklyn sings Soprano 2 in Chamber Singers! In her free time, she enjoys being part of other productions in different schools! She would like to thank everyone for coming to see this production, and enjoy the show!
