Dr. Jason Powell
Producer
Director of Strings, Dr. Powell leads the Classical Guitar and Orchestral Strings Programs. He’s earned his BA and MA in Music Education, & his Doctorate in Educational Justice & Leadership. He is an active musician performing with the CV Symphony, Northgate Community Church, & in the Irish folk/rock band "Midlife O'Crisis" at O'Caines Irish Pub. Some of his credits include: The Phantom of the Opera (cello), Beauty and the Beast (cello), Hairspray (guitar), Fiddler on the Roof (violin), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown – (conductor/musical director [DTL nomination]), and Bye Bye Birdie (producer). He also serves as an Adjunct Professor with National University, & teaches classes for the CV Symphony. He is a published author "From Terror to Freedom - Empowering the Victim", & is the recipient of many awards including: Outstanding Teacher at PSHS (2012) & the Rotary-Alumni award for Excellence in Instrumental Performance (2004).

Allyson Boylan
Director / Prop Design
This is Allyson’s 7th year at PSHS as theatre director for the PSHS Theatre Company (Troupe #6219). Allyson received her BA and MA in theatre from UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, & Television. Allyson won a DTL award for Outstanding Director of a Youth Musical for PSHS’s production of Bye Bye Birdie (2018), Annie (2017), & Fiddler on the Roof (2015), & has been nominated for many other DTL awards including: Cheaper by the Dozen, David & Lisa, Go Ask Alice, Rehearsal for Murder and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She is currently an adjunct professor in theatre for COD and serves on their film school’s advisory board. Allyson has previously worked at Universal Motion Pictures casting and MTV Programming. She has performed both at CBU and UCLA as Lance the Lancer & as Joe & Josie Bruin. Allyson has previously directed Picnic, Cheaper by the Dozen, David & Lisa, Go Ask Alice, Twelve Angry Jurors, Almost Maine, You Can’t Take It With You, and All In the Timing.
