Sense and Sensibility - April 25 - April 27, 2024

Plainfield High School

 SENIORS

  • Maddie Drayton

    as Mrs. Dashwood

Maddie Drayton is starring in this production as her first ever play (and last ever show in high school). She has been in musicals, notably as Betty Haynes in White Christmas, but this is her debut in a play. She is super excited to share this experience with some of her closest friends and her boyfriend. The support from others in the cast, friends, and family has been key in balancing this new experience and the other activities Maddie is involved in. She is a hardworking academic student and a member of multiple clubs as well as show choir (Femmes Fatales and Belles et Beaux). Maddie plans to get her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Butler University this fall.

  • Carter Shaw

    as Edward Ferrars/Robert Ferrars

Carter Shaw (Edward Ferrars/Robert Ferrars) is a senior at Plainfield High School and is so grateful for his time in theater. He has been in past PHS productions such as The Addams Family, The Crucible, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and White Christmas. He has been a part of outside productions such as Matilda Jr. and Beauty and the Beast with Epsilon Theatrical Company. Looking back, he is so grateful for the time he has spent in theater, as it has connected him to some of his best friends and has guided him towards his future after High School. Carter plans to attend Taylor University to study Christian Ministries. He would like to thank his family who supported him no matter what, his friends for keeping him happy and humble, and God for being there every step of the way.

  • Brenna Royer

    as Fanny Dashwood/Gossip

Brenna is thrilled to be a part of Sense and Sensibility. This is her very last performance at PHS. She played Michelle Nulty in "White Christmas" earlier this fall, and Sarah Good in "The Crucible" her sophomore year. She has also participated in run crew her sophomore and junior year. Brenna has always had a passion for the arts and the classics, so she is beyond excited to share this Jane Austen production with her friends and family, who she thanks for always supporting and loving her. Enjoy the show!
