David Fleming
as Harold Hill
– David has been a fan of “The Music Man” since the time he played “Winthrop” at the age of 10. Now, a little “sadder but wiser,” he is happy to return as one of American theatre’s favorite con artists. (Speaking of which, Pocket Theatre patrons will remember David in his recent role as “Billy Flynn” in “Chicago.”) David’s favorite role is “Sr. Pastor” at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, where he appears weekly at 8:30 and 10:45. David and his wife, Karla are avid supporters of the arts and find participating in theatre a great way to build community.

Kara Claybrook
as Marian Paroo
Kara Claybrook is a collegiate voice professor, choral conductor, opera director and minister of music from Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a voice professor at Ouachita Baptist University, and recently completed a doctoral degree at the University of Mobile where she studied with Dr. Maryann Kyle. Kara enjoys teaching and performing in multiple styles and genres including opera, operetta, oratorio, traditional worship, contemporary worship and musical theater. She has performed professionally with First Coast Opera, Opera Mississippi, Opera in the Rock and Murry’s Dinner Playhouse where she appeared as Gertie in Oklahoma and Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Kara is excited to be making her Pocket Theater debut. She would like to thank her parents, Doug and Linda; her former teacher and musical mentor Diane Kesling. Most importantly she is grateful to Jesus for being her strength and song.
