NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR

First off, our many thanks and deepest gratitude goes to our principal,

Mr. Ron Okamura. Thank you for allowing the MTG program to be revitalized once again! Without his continued support for the many programs here at McKinley High School, MTG and this show would not have been a success. Thank you for allowing our students to have this great opportunity and also to have the legacy of Mr. Naks continue here on our campus.

I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to our wonderful creative and production team members! Without each and every single one of you I would never have been able to revive our MTG program and put together this production. It has been a wild ride navigating these unfamiliar waters of theater, but together we made what seemed like a very daughnting task become possible. And now finally it has become a reality. Words cannot express the gratitude and awe that I have for each one of you and your tremendous contributions. Dwayne Sakaguchi, Scott Takata, JC Messer, Joseph Nakamoto, Jon Furukawa, Milton Lau, Anson Bernal, Eren Star Padilla, Jeffrey Ideta, Kristi Auyoung, Bartly Wilson, and MTG alumni Wayne Paakaula and John Cummings. A huge MAHALO to you all for the time, effort, and hard work you put in to make this a success. TAKE A BOW!

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers from McKinley High School students, faculty, staff, and our community helpers from our neighborhood. You all helped with our House needs for the box office, fundraising efforts, and ushering. We couldn't do it on our own and it truly goes to show that it takes a community to make this program a success. You all complete us in our crazy-fun adventure!

Thank you to the wonderful programs that came together to showcase McKinley High School and what we can do when we work together! McKinley’s Art and Music Departments, Building & Construction from the STEM Academy, Graphic Arts & Design Program from the Tiger Media Learning Center Academy, Culinary Arts Program from the Business Academy, the student Art Club, and Athletics department. From the tiniest contributions to the crazy rush of getting our small and large details completed in time for the shows, my greatest and heartfelt thanks to each and everyone one of you!

To our MTG alumni family, thank you for always being a part of a rich histroy here at McKinley High School and supporting the continuation of the program! We are so happy and honored to have you with us on our journey. From supporting us from a far to working with our students and I, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. MTG FOREVER!

And finally to all my wonderful students. Thank you for showing me what wonderful talents and beautiful hearts you all have. Together we've accomplished what seemed impossible, and made it into this; a show that we will always keep in our hearts and spirits. No matter where we go and no matter what comes next in life, always remember what it is that we have built together and that you were a part of it all. I am so proud of each and every single one of you, and I also praise you in all your well earned glory of our theater program. You did it

Congratulations MTG family!
