Our Founder

Nicolette "Nikki" Andrews had a dream. As a school teacher with 30 years of experience, Nikki watched as school systems across the country began to dismantle arts programs and saw a way that she could help. Nikki and her mother, Hayes Centebar, began a little theatre group for children so they could learn to love the performing arts as much as they did. Years later, hundreds of children ages 8 to 18 have had the opportunity to experience stagecraft and performance, and Primary Players proudly continues to provide arts education in a fun and loving environment to the children of our community.

Mission:

Primary Players Children's Theatre Group is committed to working with young people to develop their theatrical artistry, specifically dramatic expression, artistic interpretation, technical presentation, makeup, sets, and costume design. We anticipate that the students participating in Primary Players will develop a heightened appreciation of the theatrical arts and will recognize the importance of the arts in their community. We also make effort to ensure that each student's time with us is enjoyable and engaging. 

Our goals include educating youngsters in the arts, cultivating their talents, and instructing students in life skills, like public speaking, self expression, confidence, professional integrity, and responsibility. We also aim to produce outstanding experiences for our young cast members and to give our audiences excellent theatrical events.

Company Overview:

The Primary Players Children's Theatre Group is a non-profit 501c3 theatre organization for youngsters in second grade through high school who love acting, singing, dancing and learning about the many aspects of theatrical production.
