Greetings!

I am so excited and honored to welcome each of you to the Arts High School production of “The Wiz” in collaboration with Progressive Theater! Our motto is to “Dream Big at Arts High” and that is just what our artist-scholars did as they embraced this wonderful and well deserved opportunity!

The journey to get to opening night has been long, challenging, rewarding, insightful and most importantly, inspirational. Thank you to Progressive Theater and Mr. Gregory Osborne for taking on the Arts High School community as your very own. To say thank you to Arts High School educator, Mrs. Caldwell-Pretlow for all of her time, service and dedication in working alongside Mr. Osborne throughout the entire process is not enough to express my gratitude. The Newark Board of Education board, the NBOE Executive staff and the High School Leadership team have supported us every step of the way and we appreciate each of you. 

I ask that you sit back and enjoy the talent, passion and creativity you will see on the stage. I am confident that you will laugh, cry, and reflect through Dorothy’s journey.
