Dr. Macy Jones
(Director) is excited to direct Red Magnolia Theatre Company’s inaugural production. Her past directing credits include Smell of the Kill, The Blue Djinn, Tartuffe, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Spark, and The Lion in Winter. Macy is also a dramaturg and playwright. Her original ten-minute play, Dead Ducks, was selected as part of the Mid-America Theatre Conference 2017 New Play Festival. Macy holds a Ph.D. in Theatre History from Louisiana State University. She wants to thank everyone who helped to make Love, Loss, and What I Wore a reality.

Michele Johnson
(Assistant Director) is profoundly proud to be a founder of Red Magnolia and see her long-time dream become a reality. She has been acting since the age of fifteen her first role being Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Other favorite roles have included Agnes (Agnes of God), May (Fool for Love), Babe (Crimes of the Heart), Lucy (Dracula), and Shelby (Steel Magnolias). She is thrilled to have her “M’Lynn” appear in her first show and thanks Minerva Productions for being the inspiration for Red Magnolia. She wants to thank her co-founders for their hard work and dedication, Paula for being her second half in this venture, Macy for bringing this show to life, and the amazing cast and crew of women in the inaugural production. She also thanks Jeff, her best friend and amazing husband for his unwavering support, Emma and Charlie for letting mama “play,” and her parents, Paula and Lee for believing in her. Finally, a deep thanks to her "sister" Ami. This is for Laura.

Dori Huffty
(Technical Director, Scenic/Lighting Design) is an alumna of Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Design and Technology and is a Co-Founder of Red Magnolia Theatre Company. She also works with the St. Aloysius School Performance Choir as the Technical Director. Dori works as the Marketing and Communications Intern at PACE Group LLC, Engineering and Consulting, based in New Orleans. Dori would like to take the opportunity to thank her family and friends for their love and support throughout the years and especially for supporting Red Magnolia. Enjoy the show!
