Mark R. Mercer
Director
Mark is humbled and thankful for all of the many people who have supported and participated in RTC's first endeavor. An educator, director, pianist, and performer, Mark is currently the Director of Choral Music at Andover High where he was named 2015 Educator of the Year. He recently finished up his 5th and final year as Director/Music Director for Lexington Youth Summer Theatre. Since his move to Massachusetts in 2008, Mark has been involved in over 200 performances from piano bars and musicals to local and national competitions. Mark has been seen performing at places such as North Shore Music Theater, Wang Theater in Boston, and various piano bars. He will be performing in the orchestra for the National Broadway tour of Pippin in February when it comes to Boston. He holds degrees in Music Education from Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music and Kent State University. Mark would like to thank his parents, Cooper, friends, colleagues, and Tom for supporting him!
Tom Cox
Music Director
Tom Cox is a New England based musician, conductor, artistic director, and producer. Tom and his good friend, Mark Mercer, have shared a longtime dream of starting a new theatre company, and seeing Revolution Theatre Company come to life is absolutely unreal. Tom’s personal honors include the 2011 DASH Award for Best Music Direction (for Ragtime) and another nomination in 2013 for Next to Normal. In his work with community and professional theatre companies throughout New England, Tom shares many more DASH and IRNE awards and nominations with his rather exemplary colleagues. A very proud Penn Stater, Tom is also a freelance musician, often performing at weddings, funerals, parties, in pit orchestras for musicals, and with the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra.
