Macbeth - June 19 - July 20, 2025

Richmond Shakespeare

 End Notes

From our Leadership:

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Macbeth.

At Richmond Shakespeare, we believe theatre has the power to bring us together—around language, story, and shared experience. Shakespeare’s work continues to resonate because it invites us to reflect not only on the world of the play, but on our own lives, our choices, and our communities.

This season, we are proud to continue that work both onstage and beyond. Through productions like Macbeth, our Festival Young Company, and programs such as Bardathon, we are creating opportunities for artists and students of all ages to engage deeply with classical theatre.

As we look ahead, we are thrilled to announce that memberships for our 27th Annual Richmond Shakespeare Festival are now on sale, featuring William Shakespeare's As You Like It and Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. The Festival remains a cornerstone of our work—bringing together professional artists and emerging performers in a vibrant, accessible summer celebration of theatre.

We also invite you to be part of this work in a deeper way. Your support—through ticket purchases, memberships, and charitable giving—makes it possible for us to sustain our productions, expand educational programming, and continue serving our community.

If you are inspired by what you see onstage, we encourage you to consider supporting Richmond Shakespeare and to explore opportunities for young artists through our Festival Young Company, now open for registration.

Thank you for being here and for helping us keep this work alive.

With gratitude,
