Director
Mrs. Akira G. Regan is a lifelong musician and vocalist. She has performed in numerous concerts and productions throughout the years. She is the Choral Director at Roosevelt High School where she directs the Select Choir as well as coordinating the Color Guard. She is also the 11th grade Co-Advisor. Before working at Roosevelt, she worked in the Huntington School District and she directed Arts and adventure traveling summer Camp. She is the Founder and Chair of the SATB Project, Inc. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Five Towns College, a Masters of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University, and is currently working on her Masters of Science in Education from Queens College. The Roosevelt Union Free School District, located in Nassau County, New York, is a diverse and growing School District. It services it's 3,170 students in grades K-12. The students are housed in three elementary schools, Centennial Avenue Elementary School, Ulysses Byas Elementary School, and Washington-Rose Elementary School, The Roosevelt Middle School, and Roosevelt High School. After almost 20 years, all five schools in the district are off of all state lists! Because of the great strides that have been made, Roosevelt UFSD has been declared a district of Distinction!
