Roosevelt High School

 End Notes

From the Chair of the Director

There are truly no words to capture what the journey of getting here with this cast has been. But I can say Thank You.

Thank You to Dr. Hazelton for envisioning this project. Thank You to all the district and building administrators for all your assistance in bringing this to fruition.

Thank You to the amazing group of colleagues whom I can call friends for all their tireless efforts, the nights, the weekends, the school breaks.

Thank You to Mr. Abel for his generous support of this project, and for always making a way where there wasn’t one before.

Thank You to Lin-Manuel Miranda, who has been an inspiration to so many, and for bringing musical theater to life for a new generation. As music and society changes, you have found a way to allow another generation to experience the magic that is Broadway.

But most importantly, Thank You to the cast and their parents. Thank You for trusting me on this journey, for allowing me to dream and dream big. Thank You for all the after-schools, the nights, the weekends, and school breaks that you gave up to make this vision a reality.  It has been my honor and my pleasure to be your director and watch you grow as performers over the last 12 weeks. I look forward to teaching every one of you as you continue on your journey and make your way to the high school, to watching you grow into the talented, capable young people that you are already becoming. I am excited for our next endeavor as we continue to take our one square mile from good to great.

Your Obedient Servant,

A. Reg
